Blueberry – sort Duke
Duke is one of the most commonly cultivated varieties in our area. It was produced in 1986 in the United States, crossing varieties: Ivanhoe x Earlyblue. Mature early, in the first decade of June.
Blueberry, after the raspberry, is the world’s most popular brand in recent years for fresh fruit exports. The cultivation and distribution of blueberries has a great prospect, as the demand for blueberries exists in the domestic and world market. It is aimed at increasing its volume and investing in the processing, storage and supply capacities of blueberries. A special advantage for blueberries from our region is their specific season because they are beginning to work in June when vintage was completed in Spain, and in Poland it has not started yet. Blueberry export is mainly directed to the market of Western Europe and Russia.
Agrobobica buys and exports only premium blueberries, and plans to raise its own blueberry plantations.
