Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) is a fruit that is highly appreciated in our area and is demanded by customers in the season. It originates from the forest strawberries (Fragaria vesca), which began to be selected in the 14th century. Fruits of strawberries are mostly red, but have sorts with white or yellow fruits. Shapes can be round, conical, roller, pear-shaped, heart-shaped and irregular. The weight can vary from 8 grams to 35 grams, and most of us are strawberries whose fruits are on average 18 grams. Strawberry harvesting can take up to a month, because the fruits do not mature evenly. For this reason, vintage is carried out from several passages, so that only those who have a characteristic color engage. In some varieties, we can also read fruits that have a red surface per ¾ of the fruit, and it will peel during transport to customers.
Agrobobica buys and exports only the premium class of strawberries, and it is also planned to raise its own strawberry plantations.
